The North Carolina Innovation Council is excited to announce the addition of two outstanding leaders who bring deep expertise in law, finance, and technology to our mission of fostering responsible innovation.
Jonathan Greene
Appointed by Lieutenant Governor Hunt, Jonathan Greene joins the Council with a wealth of experience in corporate and securities law. As leader of his firm’s Banking & Financial Institutions practice group, Greene advises clients on governance, SEC compliance, and regulatory matters involving state and federal banking authorities.
A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Duke University and UNC School of Law alumnus, Greene’s legal insight will help guide innovators through complex regulatory landscapes.
Ashutosh “Ashu” Vats
Appointed by Governor Stein, Ashutosh Vats brings more than 15 years of experience in finance and growth technology. His career spans advising leading companies on strategic capital-market activities, including transactions for Uber, Pinterest, and CrowdStrike.
Vats also serves on NC State University’s College of Management Advisory Board and is committed to advancing innovation and entrepreneurship in North Carolina.
